About this site
This site holds a profile page for every one of the 9,542 properties across Williamstown and Williamstown North, organised across 238 streets.
Where the data comes from
Addresses come from Vicmap Address, Victoria's authoritative geocoded database of property address points. Boundaries come from Vicmap Property, the state cadastre. Both are published by the State of Victoria under a Creative Commons Attribution licence.
That has one useful consequence: the property list is complete. It is not limited to properties currently advertised for sale, so a street page shows every house on the street rather than the two that happen to be listed today.
What the boundary map shows
Each property page renders the registered land parcel for that address, drawn to scale from the cadastral polygon. Land area is calculated from that polygon.
Two limits worth stating plainly. Boundaries are indicative and are not a substitute for a licensed survey or a title search. And for apartments and units, the parcel on record is the whole block the building sits on, not that individual unit, so no land area is shown on unit pages.
What this site is not
It is not a sales listing portal, and it does not claim to know what any property is worth. It is a reference layer for the suburb: what exists, where, and how big the block is.
